Atlas Mountains, Kasbahs and Sahara desert

5-day trip from Marrakech through high Atlas Mountains and Berber trails. This trip highlighted the most sightseeing of the southern of Morocco Including Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Todra Gorges, Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi and Draa valley

Day 1: Marrakech – Telouate – Ait Ben Haddou.

Pick you up from where you are, hotel, riad, or Airport and drive to the traditional Berber village of Telouete via Tizi N Tichka pass (2260m). Walk through the village and explore the Kasbah of Telouete, the seat of El Glaoui family. You may come over a weekly Berber Souk where you have the possibility to explore different goods shown there as Souks generally considered being important in Moroccan villages. After lunch we head to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village listed as a UNESCO world heritage where many movies where filmed including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Alexander. Dine and overnight in a hotel or guest house in the right place.

Day 2: Ait Ben Haddou – Todra gorges – Merzouga.

Enjoy a traditional breakfast then heading to Ouarzazate a popular holiday destination in Morocco with the option to visit Atlas Studios, Morocco's biggest studios. Continue to Todra gorges withspectacular scenery views where the cliffs are as high as 600m. After, head to the Sahara desert of Merzouga passing through Tinjdad, Erfoud, the city that attracts international fossil dealers and researchers due its geological location, Erfoud also hosts yearly the international dates show. We will also pass through Rissani before we get to Merzouga where we dine and spend the night.

Day 3: Merzouga and Erg Chebbi.

Wake up at the early morning for camel riding to the highest dunes in Morocco and take photos for the sunrise. Come back to your hotel and have breakfast. After, explore the area of Merzouga including Hasi El Bid, Khamlia with the possibility to visit Nomads living behind the dunes. Dine and overnight at Merzouga.

Day 4: Merzouga – Draa valley – Ouarzazate.

After breakfast at the heart of the Sahara desert of Merzouga leave for Ouarzazat through Draa valley, Morocco's longest river (1,100 kilometres) with many famous Kasbahs and lots of palm trees.  Have dinner and spend the night in Ouarzazat.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, drive to Marrakech through the high Atlas Mountains, via Tizi n Tichka pass (2260m) offering a spectacular view. Arrive to your accommodation in Marrakech where our tour ends.
